HD Cuts are broadcast quality clips designed to support a very smooth HD workflow.
Upon purchase of HD Cuts clips you will have access to immediately download both DVCPro HD QuickTime and HD PhotoJPEG QuickTime versions of the shot. Upon purchase of HD Cuts HDV shot you will have immediate access to download HDV QuickTime clip which this format is suitable on MAC computers and if the footage is needed in PC format we can provide this for download fairly quickly.
Apple Final Cut Pro and Avid Express Pro HD editing software only currently support DVCPro HD QuickTime codec on MAC. For PC editing software we make the same shots available in HD PhotoJPEG QuickTime suitable for editing cross platforms on PC and MAC.
We make every effort to ensure you get the shot you need and provide Sample Download clips for every clip in the library to download to your computer prior to purchase. Sample Download clips are located in the QT or Info of a specific shot. The Sample Download clip is the actual codec and resolution of the clip that would be purchased. HD PhotoJPEG full resolution Sample Download clips of the DVCPro HD shots are coming online soon, in the meanwhile contact us to receive a sample full resolution HD PhotoJpeg clip.
IMPORTANT NOTE: the full-resolution Sample Download is slightly softer due the addition of a watermark and recompression than the clip to be purchased. The clips licensed will be slightly crisper.
HD Cuts may be available on other tape formats or on other file format codec. Additional lab costs will be incurred.
