INFORMATION ON USING THE WEBSITE We make every effort to provide an easy and fast means through our website to find and purchase high quality content. In order to play QuickTime of shots and download shots you will need a high-speed Internet connection. You will also need QuickTime player in order to play the shots. To get QuickTime player go to "Get QuickTime Free Download" link on the bottom of all the pages of our site. You will be directed to Apple website and you will need to follow instructions to download the appropriate QuickTime player for your computer. To play the clips online click on the QT under a clip. Click on Info under the clip and the Jpeg still image of the clip will pop up along with shot information. By clicking on +Clip Bin under the shot you will add a shot to your own personal Clip Bin storage area (you will need to register to create and use Clip Bin storage area). DV Cuts are offered in full resolution NTSC 720X480 DV QuickTime files ready to download immediately. The cuts are originated on 35mm, 16mm film, 24p digital video or HD cameras. HD Cuts are broadcast HD 16:9 and offered as either DVCPRO HD 1080p 1280X1080 for MAC users or PhotoJPEG 1920X1280 set at "High" quality for PC users. HD Cuts also offers HDV QuickTime clips for both MAC and PC editors. See the image specifications by hitting QT or Info under clips. View all the shot information to the right of the shot which includes: Clip #, Title, Source (Film or Video), Format (Type of QuickTime), Aperture (4:3 or 16X9), Length, File Size (download size), Speed (Real Time or Time-lapse) and Price. PURCHASING To purchase shots simply click on Buy Now button above the shot. The price is next to the Buy Now button in red. Proceed to check out to approve license agreement and provide Licensee and billing information. Upon final submit of payment you will receive an email automatically sent to you with download link for footage as well as the receipt. DOWNLOADING All clips purchased through DV HD Cuts are available to download immediately. You will receive e-mail with your download link immediately after purchase. If you go to your download link and it appears the file(s) are not there to download, logout and login again and go to My Account to locate your download file(s). If you have any download problems contact us right away. You will have access to download your licensed clips for one (1) month. RESALE PRODUCTION LICENSE When using DV/HD content to create products to be sold and creating over 5,000 units a DV HD Cuts resale license must be acquired. Resale production license is $100.00 per clip. Once a re-sale license is acquired you will be licensed to produce over 5,000 units to be resold. If producing fewer than 5,000 units of a product to be sold you do not need to purchase the resale license. SHIPPING You may optionally request that we send your clip(s) to you on a DVD or Mini-DV for $50. In addition you can also order a Mini Hard Drive for $150. Choose the option below and you will be charged appropriate fees for media assembly and appropriate shipping charges. If you order on a business day, normally orders are processed in one business day; however, it can take up to five business days from your order date to process and ship. If you choose to ship you also have the option to download clips until your media arrives. TO REGISTER Registration takes a few short moments and allows you to use additional site features such as download sample test files and use a clip bin to organize your own collection of cuts. To register and log in as a user go to My Account and if you don't have an account, please click on "register". CLIP BIN Using a clip bin allows you to store and organize your clip choices along with proceeding to the shopping cart when ready. Once you register you can use your own personal clip bin, a storage area, also known as a "Light Box", to come back to over time to decide what cuts you finally wish to purchase. Place the clips that interest you into a clip bin by clicking on +Clip Bin under each image. You can add and delete until you have finished creating your own collection of cuts. Download the clips or have your own personal collection sent to you on a CD-Rom, Mini-DV or a mini hard drive. TEST CLIPS For each shot when you click on either the QT or Info under a shot, the box with the image and information that pops up will also show two (2) different test clips to evaluate the shots prior to purchase to ensure the clips will work for your video project. Two (2) test clips are available for every clip to check the content prior to purchase. Test clips include the following: 1) "Preview Download", a full-length NTSC QT 300x225 pixels clip for DV Cuts and the 350x197 pixels NTSC QT clip for HD Cuts. These test clips are to evaluate the content and; 2) "Sample Download", a full-resolution 15-frame DV QT for DV Cuts and 8-frame HD QT for HD Cuts. These test clips are for you to assess the actual full resolution codec to ensure you can work with the clean master clip upon purchase. (This file is slightly softer due the addition of a watermark and recompression). SEARCH SITE To search the site, enter keywords that best describe imagery you are looking for into the search field. You can also click on the "Advanced Search" to conduct a narrower search. If only looking for Hi Definition shots enter in your keywords and mark the Search for Hi-Def Clips Only. Also mark find either all or any of the words to broaden or narrow your search. You can also peruse the images by clicking on the subject categories. None of the content on this website may be used for any purpose other than for previewing and sampling the stock footage for potential purchase. See Licensing for terms and conditions.
